Trisha Karma

Trisha Karma is a Mental Health Clinician working towards her licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts. She received her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling & Behavioral Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine, and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Communications from the University of California, Davis. Trisha has previously worked in community health centers, partial hospitalization programs, and private practice. She specializes in working with college-aged students, graduate students, and adults with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, trauma, challenging relational dynamics and identity concerns.

Trisha understands the complexity of the human condition and is empathic to any one struggling. She is sensitive to how your unique life circumstances and various intersecting cultural/racial/sexual/gender identities impact you. The therapeutic relationship is extremely important to Trisha, and she prioritizes creating an atmosphere where her clients feel safe and supported so they are able to show up as their most
authentic selves.

Trisha offers a warm, genuine, and curious style to the therapeutic space. She is passionate about holding space for your core wounds and exploring how they may have shown up in the way you relate to yourself, to others, and the world. She aims to cultivate self-empowerment and resilience, affirming that you are the expert in your life. Her approach is collaborative and integrative, pulling from numerous evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and trauma-informed care. Trisha practices holistic healing, and views you as a whole person.
